As many of you may know, Japan was hit with another sever earth quake recently. This unimaginable natural disaster is extremely hard for us fortunate eastern Canadians
to truly comprehend. However, picture this; Tomorrow you wake up and half your house has fallen down around you. You realize your parents/ sibilings/ kids are not in
their bedroom because it no longer exist. You can't make a phone call for help because, if the phone still exist, it certainly doesn't work. Suddenly it sounds as if
someone has turned on loud tap. You look down to see that you're standing in a large puddle. The puddle starts to move and so does everything around you....
It's terribly hard to imagine, but this is happening right NOW!
Japan is a fellow Rugby Union that many of our Canadian rugger brothers have competed against at many international events.
If we were being beat by mother nature would you hope the rugby community would help?
The brotherhood of rugby players runs loops around this globe and certainly touches Japan.
Members of our club will be starting a "Ruck for Relief" fund raiser this weekend at the girls tournament at Acadia University.
There will be a donation "can" looking for any amount to support the cause. Can you please consider lending a hand, donating, and encouraging others to do the same.
From here we will move onto other events and hopefully generate more funds and awareness.
Hope to see you this weekend!
